La Mezcaleria Gastown

Yesterday's brunch eats at La Mezcaleria. They serve brunch until 3pm, Wednesday - Sunday.

We started off brunch with some chips and dips - guacamole and salsa ceviche. I love how creamy their guacamole is, it goes really well with the crunchy chips.

I had their Hongos con Kale Benny - Two poached eggs on portobello mushrooms. Topped with sauteed kale, chipotle hollandaise sauce and crispy oyster mushroom chips. It was served with seasonal greens and hashbrowns. I love how flavourful it was and pretty filling. I just wish my poached eggs had runny yolks. 

Of course a brunch isn't complete without a mimosa. 😀

Crispy Pork Belly! Unfortunately I didn't eat it because lent. But my friend Alana said it was really good. 

Speaking of Alana, she had the Salmon Con Tequila Benny - two english muffin topped with tequila and citrus cured salmon, two poached eggs and chipotle hollandaise. Also served with seasonal greens and hashbrowns.
